Al Andalus
A masterpiece of the Molina Brothers , the Al Andalus collection offers endless design choices in an assortment of both modern and classic artistic wood floors. This sublime designer wood flooring collection is actually divided into contemporary patterns and traditional patterns .
Al Andalus is the most elaborate parquet flooring ever manufactured counting over 300 pieces of wood per square meter.
It is by far the most complex geometric pattern ever built in any material, let alone wood. The pattern consists of an 8-fold symmetry growing outwards from a 24-pointed central star, never repeating a geometric motif as it grows. This means that each panel forming the parquet floor is different from the next one.
Adding to the complexity of the non-repetitive design, the brothers chose to adorn the geometric composition with interlace embellishments – infinite lines that run along the polygons seamlessly interweaving with each other with unbelievable precision: each line runs below and above each other in perfect alternation.
